I have been staying here on and off for over 20 years and regard it as one of the most appealing hotels going. Having not been here since before the pandemic, I suppose I might have been concerned that it would have changed for the worse...but it hadn't. Still a lovely experience. Nice cosy room, pleasant staff, great location and generally a lovely feel about the hotel. In previous times I would aim to be down for dinner nice and early to have a drink in a corner of the lounge - this time was lucky enough to sit outside after a glorious day in the hills. Everywhere seems to be offensively expensive nowadays, but this is one of the few places where it doesn't feel as though you are being taken for a ride and paying a huge amount of money for something that would previously have been budget / coach party accomodation - somewhere which is geniunely a "premium" hotel. That said, I suspect that I got the "little room at the top of the stairs" at an unusually competitive rate, otherwise it would have been beyond what I could have justified paying in these inflated times. ...so if you see a price you like, it is to be thoroughly recommended; or if the price makes your eyes water, then it is probably the same price as everywhere else, but at least it is lovely.

We were tired when we arrived early and surprised by the proximity to the highway. As soon as we entered the doorway our apprehension melted away. The front desk manager explained that our room was not quite ready and directed us to a very nice walk across the road and along the beautiful river. When we returned, the lovely twin room overlooking the river was immaculate and very comfortable. The heavy drapery and absence of nighttime traffic made for a quiet and very restful night's sleep. The food was excellent, both Highland game and island seafood made for delicious choices. Top notch on the way to the Isle of Skye.

A very comfy and quaint mansion like hotel situated in beautiful surroundings. Although a bit on the small side, the rooms at the top floor were very comfy, clean and had all the necessary facilities. The staff are worth an extra mentioning. It' s a family run hotel and they are extremely kind and helpful. Special thankyous to Suzie ! And... We found the hairy coo vase online haha. The food is worth a mentioning as well. The dinner was absolutely great and make sure you include breakfast during your stay, you simply cannot go wrong anywhere there.

Very clean, well decorated, friendly staff, and a perfect location to see any number of things in the surrounding area. For us, it was close to Loch Ness, Eilean Donan Castle, Isle of Skye, Ben Nevis and Ft. William, Glenfinnan Viaduct, and Glencoe. The breakfasts were very nice. I was able to get a smaller room for just me at a very reasonable price.

Great hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. The food in the evening was exceptional and the bar and lounge areas were both well set up for relaxing. The bedroom was great and the bed was very comfortable. The tunnock's teacake on the tea and coffee tray was a welcome site too.
